Third String Goalie Holiday Shopping Guide - Game on Images

While attending the Let's Play Hockey Expo in St. Paul last March, we came across something which naturally caught our eyes, excellent quality canvas prints of players, team logos and jerseys from Game on Images.

The player photos have an almost photographic quality to them, and are painted by Vancouver artist Glen Green using watercolors in a style which really conveys action.

The players currently available are Phaneuf, Toews, Iginla, Ovechkin, Zetterberg, Lucic, Richards, Cammalleri, Luongo, Lundqvist, Malkin, the Sedins, Thomas, Burrows, Kesler and Hall.

The prints are made using state-of-the-art technology on canvas, which is then stretched and wrapped around the framework, making them ready to be hung on a wall as is, since all the staples or nails attaching the canvas are hidden from sight. All the images are fully licensed by the NHL and the NHLPA and the player prints are available in four sizes, starting at 9" x 12" up to 14" x 20", 25" x 36" and 32" x 46".

Aside from the player paintings, Game On Images also offers team logos from all 30 NHL clubs, with each logo begin current to reflect any changes or updates for this season. They are also available with your choice of team color or white backgrounds.

The team logos are either 12" x 12" or the larger 20" x 20" size and the bright colors and quality printing really caught our eyes, and we here at Third String Goalie thought they were pretty darn cool and really well done with a very nice attention to detail.

At the time of the expo, Game on Images also had on display some jersey prints, which were not fully introduced at the time, but are now available and their offerings expanded.

Naturally, the jersey art caught our eye and we thought was a very unique offering. Your first option is the front of your team's favorite home jersey, with secondary logos and accurate collar detailing, which reflects if your favorite club has a v-neck or lace-up collar style.

We were impressed with the detail of the lace up collars and depictions of the separate fabric panels which make up a real jersey as well as the accurate logos and colors, since Nashville, for instance, has introduced a new version of their logo and jersey color for this season.

You can see the attention to detail in their other new jersey related product, the back of your favorite team's jersey, which allows you to choose any name and number you'd prefer, in accurate fonts for both the letters and numbers, right down to the Predators new "guitar strings" running through their digits! They haven't left out the secondary logos on the back either, another example of their attention to detail.
