Was perhaps this photo of Dallaire taken when he was playing for a different team?"<br /><br />The famous team photo of the Canadiens in their barberpoles features Dallaire at the right of the back row, wearing #7 on his right sleeve. A logical extension of thought is that he entered the 1912-13 training camp wearing the same number as the previous season... #7. So, the photo of Dallaire is probably of him wearing the 1911-12 sweater. It was suggested that the Leaf sweater was worn for two seasons, in place of the mythical white one. But if that was the case, one could reasonably assume that they would have worn the same leggings, too. The Dallaire photo shows different; 3 bands, blue over white over red. In fact, the same design pictured the following season with the first blue chest band alternate. Logically, when confronted with the need for an alternate, they reused the leggings from the previous season. This all points to the Dallaire photo being of the actual Canadiens' 1911-12 uniform. Then I quit playing for 35 years and packed the girdle and shell. I started playing again in 2019 and opened the box to find my Cooperalls (and girdle) in perfect condition. I now wear them about once a month. Of course the young guys have no idea what Im wearing.. They ask if they are ski pants. <br />I never found them to be too hot. The real issue is the girdle. It gets slimy and is very difficult to dry out. Its a real bitch if you wear them every day.
